The Way We Work

First Fire

Once the handicrafter has perfected the pieces, these will pass for the first time to a kiln where they will receive their first bath of heat.

This first fire is carried out very slowly, so that the paste of porcelain is losing, little by little, the water of its composition. After the first fire, the pieces have acquired certain resistance in order to be correctly manipulated in the next step of the process.

At this stage the paste of porcelain is still porous, this way it will be ready to receive the crystalline bath, which lends it its characteristic shine and unique personality.
